HCA Healthcare’s Continental Division has announced the appointment of Eric Evans as chief executive officer of Sky Ridge Medical Center effective June 17, 2024. Sky Ridge Medical Center is a 304-bed, Level II trauma center in Lone Tree, Colorado. The hospital is part of HealthONE, one of the largest and most comprehensive healthcare systems in Greater Denver and the Rocky Mountain region.

Since June 2020, Evans has served as chief executive officer of Corpus Christi Medical Center (CCMC), a network of healthcare facilities serving the Greater Corpus Christi area. In this role, he provided leadership and strategic direction for two acute care hospitals, three freestanding emergency centers, a cancer center and a behavioral health hospital. CCMC experienced substantial service line growth during Evan’s leadership, as well as improvements in colleague, physician, and patient engagement. CCMC has received numerous accreditations and quality care awards, including national recognition from US News & World Report as the Best Regional Hospital in the Gulf Coast.

Evans holds a master's degree in health services administration from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Texas in Dallas. He has been with HCA Healthcare for over 28 years serving in various leadership roles, including CEO of HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball and East Houston Regional Medical Center.

Mark Roberts, COO, will serve as the interim chief executive officer (CEO) of Corpus Christi Medical Center, effective June 16. Roberts brings over twenty years of healthcare leadership experience, twelve of which have been with HCA Healthcare in Texas and Georgia. He has served as CCMC's Chief Operating Officer since November 2021.
