Fast, convenient access to the care you need

A virtual urgent care appointment is a good option when you are not able to make a timely appointment with your primary care physician or if your condition is not serious enough to warrant a trip to the ER. CareNow® providers are available to quickly diagnose and treat a variety of minor illnesses, such as the flu, strep throat or 24-hour bugs.However, if you are experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency, call 911 immediately. When to go to the emergency room

If you are experiencing any of the conditions or symptoms below, seek emergency care at the nearest ER.

  • Blood in stool
  • Broken bones
  • Coughing or throwing up blood
  • Deep wounds with heavy bleeding
  • Drug and/or alcohol overdose
  • Head injuries, including concussions
  • High fever with uncontrolled nausea or diarrhea that could lead to dehydration
  • Suspected heart attack or stroke (cerebrovascular accident)
  • Severe allergic reactions
  • Severe burns
  • Severe headaches, dizziness, confusion and/or seizures
  • Suspected poisoning
  • Trouble breathing

When to seek virtual urgent care

Virtual care may be a good option for you when your condition is not life-threatening. We commonly see patients with:

  • Bites, stings, poison ivy, hives and rashes
  • Cold, flu, earaches, sore throat and fever
  • Minor injuries and illnesses for after-hours care
  • Sprains, strains and other simple bone and joint injuries
