Pharmacy Education & Residency
Corpus Christi Medical Center is pleased to announce its new American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) pharmacy residency program.
We expect to enroll our first class of residents, July 1, 2016, and anticipate an accreditation survey in the spring of 2017.
The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program is designed to develop and prepare highly trained clinicians well-equipped to pursue pharmacy practice as generalists. A solid and excellent clinical and pharmacy operation foundation is developed through robust clinical experiences in areas such as cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, infectious disease, antimicrobial stewardship, psychiatry, women's health, neonatology, orthopedics, pulmonary, and critical care. These patient-centered, clinical, dynamic leadership and management rotations are offered throughout our facilities.
