Welcome to Corpus Christi Medical Center Pharmacy Residency Program Website. We appreciate your desire to learn about our new PGY1 (American Society of Health-Systems (ASHP) pre-candidate pharmacy residency program.
Located on the Gulf Cost of South Texas, Corpus Christi, is a city with a population of approximately 330,000, and miles of beaches, and average daily temperature of 72˚F, which offers several popular tourist attractions. While our PGY1 pharmacy residency program is in pre-candidate status, we plan for the residents in our program to have a strong didactic as well as practical experiences during their tenure.
Within our institutions, you will find a wealth of information to assimilate and opportunity to be taught by a diverse, qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty. It is a rich environment to fulfill the rigorous program outlined by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, for completion of their residency program.
Our residency program is housed under the umbrella of the Graduate Medical Education program, at Corpus Christi Medical Center – Bay Area. Our institutions is an HCA affiliate, nationally recognized by The Joint Commission as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures. We are a 651-bed medical center with several campuses, including: Doctors Regional, Bay Area, Bay View, The Heart Hospital, Northwest, Northshore Emergency Center and Radiation Oncology. We offer a full range of excellent medical, surgical and pharmaceutical services at these campuses.
