About Corpus Christi Medical Center Bayview
As the largest facility for behavioral health services in South Texas, Corpus Christi Medical Center Bayview is a 68-bed accredited facility providing comprehensive, age-focused therapy programs focused on addictive disorders and mental health concerns. Our programs are led by professionals trained to care for specific groups, including adolescents, adults and seniors.
Our program is designed to provide quality care and stabilization for patients, in a secure setting with a multidisciplinary team approach.
Our team assesses each patient for admission and helps determine the best care plan and program. A psychiatrist heads the treatment team of registered nurses, therapists, social workers, mental health technicians and case managers.
Behavioral health services
Our behavioral health center offers a full range of programs and services focused on treating both the patient and their illness, including:
- Adolescent behavioral health
- Adult behavioral health
- Inpatient dual diagnosis program
- Inpatient and outpatient mental health services
- Inpatient trauma-focused treatment
- Outpatient addictive treatment
- Individual, family and group therapy
- Medication management

Each case is unique, so we take an individualized approach to patient assessment and develop a treatment plan tailored to his or her specific needs. We also provide aftercare programs to further assist patients once they are in recovery.
While we focus on behavioral health, when medical concerns arise, we can transfer patients to Corpus Christi Medical Center for additional care.
Inpatient and outpatient care
Inpatient and outpatient programs are available, including an intensive outpatient program and partial hospitalization program. Our intensive outpatient programs meet five days a week to offer patients routine contact and input. We also provide inpatient and outpatient programs for adults struggling with substance abuse.
