
Corpus Christi Medical Center (CCMC) has announced the appointment of Stacey De Hoyos, MBA, BSN, RN-BC, CNOR, as chief operating officer, effective August 1, 2025. De Hoyos brings more than 11 years of healthcare leadership experience, having served in multiple roles within CCMC and HCA Healthcare since beginning her career in 2006.
Throughout her tenure, De Hoyos has held key positions including operating room manager, director of surgical services, and most recently, assistant chief nursing officer. In these roles, she oversaw a broad spectrum of hospital operations, including surgical services and inpatient nursing services, consistently driving improvements in patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
“Stacey is recognized for her commitment to colleague and physician engagement while fostering a collaborative and positive workplace culture,” said David Irizarry, chief executive officer at Corpus Christi Medical Center. “Her contributions have been instrumental in the success of our workforce development, shared governance, throughput initiatives and capacity management, as well as in executing strategic growth initiatives, enhancing service line performance and elevating patient care standards.”
De Hoyos earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Portland and holds a Master of Business Administration from Marylhurst University. She is a graduate of HCA Healthcare’s Executive Development Program, a year-long, cohort-based initiative designed to prepare emerging leaders for executive roles through advanced curriculum, applied experience and peer networking.
As Chief Operating Officer, De Hoyos will lead efforts to drive operational excellence, support clinical innovation and advance the hospital’s mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services to residents of the Coastal Bend region.
